Our friends from Pierrefeu du Var drove for hours and hours to come visit. I had a blast scoring the freshest local produce for a salad-y feast. It had been so hot on Thursday and Friday I was terrified that nobody would have an appetite, but the weather turned. Overcast with a gentle wind, the garden was a delight, and in all I think we killed 5 bottles of wine. But luckily nobody was counting.
